Miami and New York’s CityCrypto cryptocurrencies are struggling with low volume and few transactions. Making a statement on the subject, Okcoin showed low liquidity and price manipulation concerns. Low Volumes and Few Transactions in Miami and New York City Cryptocurrency Issues A cryptocurrency exchange has suspended trading of cryptocurrencies exclusive to New York City and Miami, citing limited liquidity for tokens. Both cryptocurrencies have previously received support from the respective mayors of cities, Eric Adams of New York City and Francis Suarez of Miami, who argues that digital assets benefit society. When the project was first launched, it was aimed to donate 30 percent of the money Okcoin spent on mining to the city. According to a statement from Okcoin, the exchange suspended trading and trading for NYCCoin and MiamiCoin last week. Token holders can withdraw or hold their assets to another wallet. The exchange aims to reinstate cryptocurrency trading “as soon as possible,” according to the statement.
